Blackpool Community Education Sexual Health Team co-ordinates and delivers non-clinical sexual health and wellbeing services to under 25’s.

Our aim is to support young people, improve sexual health outcomes and signpost into local clinical services. Examples of what we can provide include school tutorials, assemblies and targeted sessions, training and support of RSE delivery, health events and updates for staff who are working in a community setting.

Blackpool & Lancashire Sexual Health Service co-ordinate and deliver sexual health and wellbeing services to young people living in the county.

Our aim is to support young people and improve sexual health outcomes.

Alongside provision of quality clinical services, we want to help ensure that young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to access local services and make informed decisions regarding their sexual health.

Within the commission, Blackpool Community Education Sexual Health Team (CESH) are pleased to offer the following services free of charge:

Times can be tailored to suit your school's assembly time tables. 

The content would cover an introduction to the Four C's: Communication, Consent, Contraception, Condoms

Tutorials can be tailored to meet your timetables, including part of a drop down day. Our staff can attend full days on request. 

It is essential these are booked in advance to avoid disappointment. 

The content options for these tutorials are:

  • Contraception and Condoms
  • Consent and Condoms
  • Consent and Sexually Transmitted Infections

A tutorial or assembly tailored for SEND students. 

The content for this session would cover an introduction to:

  • What is sex?
  • Consent
  • Contraception
  • Testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections

A focus on consent and Sexually Transmitted Infections, including:

  • Images
  • Incubation periods
  • When and how to test
  • How to access service

Sessions need to be kept strictly to year 9 and above, and a member of your staff must be present during all sessions.
